Have I ever mentioned how much I love my life?
I have been feeling enormously blessed, lately, and have found myself wondering how in the world I got so lucky to have such a wonderful life. I mean, look at these guys!! Could I have any cuter boys?! I doubt it. They're pretty darling, if you ask me.
Summer is finally starting to make an appearance, and here in the Harris household, we are taking FULL advantage of it!! From park days, to picnics, to flying kites and playing outside until it's too dark to see anymore-- we love summer, and we love being outdoors!!
We hit a stroke of luck a few weeks ago!! We parked next to a fire truck at Wal-Mart. Riley about peed his pants (actually, I'm pretty sure he did). It was the coolest thing in the world for him to be so close to a fire truck. Ever since then, he insists on doing everything with his trusty ol' fire truck.
Brecker has just been the cutest little kid, lately. He's always been such a happy guy, but especially lately as he's getting better at getting around and communicating, he's been so much fun. It's especially fun to watch him try and follow his big brother everywhere, even though it drives Riley crazy!! He is such a blessing in our family, and I already just love the dynamics of our little family.
This baby is most definitely classified as a "surprise". We were planning on definitely having more children, and Shaun in all of his super-daddy glory, had been telling me he was more than ready to start trying again. However, I was just starting to enjoy my pre-pregnancy jeans, and not being pregnant or nursing. I thought we'd start trying maybe this fall.... all things depending.
It's funny how Heavenly Father knows you better than yourself, eh? When I was in Seattle in February, I kept having this nagging feeling that someone was missing. I couldn't shake it, and when I told Shaun about it, (you guessed it) he was quite accepting of the idea of getting pregnant. ASAP. =). I did my best to shake the feeling, and then about a week later I had a really special dream. I dreamt that there was a special little baby waiting in heaven who desperately wanted to come to our family. The next morning I said to Shaun, "Don't get excited.... but I'm more seriously considering trying for another one". Guess what? Despite being careful, I found out about a week and a half later that I was pregnant. =) So, yes. We are thrilled. I was shocked, and admit I cried for the first 3 days after I found out, but now I'm every bit as excited as my wonderful and faithful husband. He's such a great guy, eh? I'm lucky to have him. No doubt I snatched up a good one. And a fertile one. I blame him.........
We're heading on our "annual" camping trip with our dear friends Bill and Bridget Storm in a few weeks, and we are SO excited. We can't wait to take Riley camping again, and for Brecker's first camping trip out of the womb. Poor Bill and Bridget... I've been pregnant every time we've gone camping with them, and I promised them I wouldn't be this time.... sorry, guys. You're going to be stuck with a moody and whimpy kid, once again.
Well--that's life in a non-tree-nut-shell (because Shaun's allergic to tree nuts.....). We still love Laramie, and are really and truly loving the summer here (or the small taste of it that has tantalizingly been dangling in our not-so-distant future).

Go to the fire station and ask for a tour. Or bring goodies and they'll offer you one. Sometimes they want you to call in advance but they love seeing the kids.
Jenny! So cute to read about your little family! Congrats on another little one! The Lord knows that you're such a good Mom! That's why He keeps giving you kids! If you want to read my blog, you're more than welcome to!
